Remover of Obstacles includes three flower essences and two whispered mantras that represent the benevolent, elephant-headed Hindu god Ganesha. Ganesha’s energy is said to remove obstacles of all kinds and bring success to your endeavors.

What’s inside this sonic essence

I took three homemade flower essences immediately before chanting and recording these mantras:

* HEART OF GOLD (Marigold)—as an offering preferred by Ganesha

* NEXT WORLD (Honeysuckle)—to support transition and change

* VICTORY (Poet’s Laurel)—for success and prosperity

About the mantras in this track

Gum
Pronunciation: GUM (as in chewing gum)
Translation: N/A

This is a powerful kind of mantra called a “bija,” or seed, which has no translation. Chanting it offers a direct experience of the energy it represents. This particular seed mantra represents the energy of Ganesha, remover of obstacles.

Om Gum Ganapatayei Swaha
Pronunciation: OM GUM GUH-NUH-PUH-TUH-YEI SWA-HAH
Translation: “Om and salutations to the remover of obstacles for which Gum is the seed.”

The second mantra is an elaboration on Gum and sets a compelling rhythm when you chant it. Whenever I do, I like the way I feel—confident, with plenty of forward momentum. Sometimes I imagine Ganesha running beside me, busting through obstacles of all kinds. It feels good!
