PROTECTION

The Protection sonic essence includes two mantras, one flower essence, and a lot of love. It’s for invoking protection and helping you feel calmer and less afraid whenever fear or anxiety arises.

What’s inside this essence

Protection is also the name of a flower essence I made from rosemary I grew in my garden. It promotes healing, clarity, positivity, and protection, especially for the home, and it also brings good luck. I took four drops immediately before recording the mantras for this track.

About the mantras in this track

The sonic foundation of the Protection essence is me chanting the following two mantras 108 times each. These mantras invoke the energy of the Hindu goddess Durga, the divine protector.

Om Dum Durgayei Swaha
Pronunciation: OM DOOM DOOR-GAH-YEI SWA-HA
Translation: “Om and salutations to she who is beautiful to the seeker of truth and terrible in appearance to those who would injure devotees of truth.”

Dum
Pronunciation: DOOM
Translation: N/A

Dum is a bjia mantra—a seed sound for the energy of protection—and has no direct translation.
