CELESTIAL PHYSICIAN

As I made Celestial Physician, I prayed for greater health and well-being for everyone who listens to it. The sonic foundation of this essence is me chanting the Dhanvantre mantra 108 times. Details on the mantra are below. Just before I began chanting, I saw a white butterfly flying over a spiral-shaped planting bed in my garden, which to me suggests transformation and freshness.

What’s inside this essence

Celestial Physician includes three flower essences I created in 2020 and 2021, which I took immediately before recording the mantra in this track:

* ELYSIAN FIELDS (Iris)—for gentle transitions from one state of being to another, healing, caduceus energy, beauty, inspiration, and guidance on your path

* HOLLOW (Japanese Plum Yew + Barred Owl)—for potential, void space, transformation, initiation of a new cycle, wisdom, mystery, and spiritual guidance

* DREAMING TREE (Mimosa)—to support change, intuition, guidance through dreams, sweetness, and spaciousness

About the mantra in this track (and healing mantras in general)

Om Sri Dhanvantre Swaha
Pronunciation: OM SHREE DON-VON-TREY SWA-HA
Translation: “Salutations to the being and power of the Celestial Physician.”

I've learned about mantras from several master teachers, including Thomas Ashley-Farrand, who writes in his book Healing Mantras: “Mantra is not a cure for all ills. But mantras can dramatically contribute to our overall health and well-being, and as with all life challenges, the more tools you have to work with, the better your chances for a long and productive life. . . .

"The science of healing is as old as humanity. Shamans and medicine [people] have existed in every culture. . . . The ancient Vedic records include detailed histories of shamans or medicine people. One such healer in the Hindu tradition was called Dhanvantre, ‘the celestial physician.’ His mantra is used to find a path to the appropriate healing method for any health problem. . . .

"You can chant this mantra while concentrating on any condition that you would like to be remedied or healed. Chant it for at least 12,500 times, then be open to the manner in which healing may manifest. Remember that healing may be achieved according to traditional medicine or through some other means altogether. Be open-minded and do not hold expectations of how healing will occur.”

When to play this sonic essence

Listen to this track whenever you’d like simply to feel and experience the energies of health, well-being, and healing.

If you seek assistance with a specific health condition, I suggest listening to Celestial Physician while meditating on your requests at least 116 times (108 x 116 = 12,528 mantra repetitions; see Ashley-Farrand’s note above). Be open to however healing occurs.
